Skipping TV commercials is bad enough to prompt an
NPR show on the upcoming chaos in the traditional media landscape. Now imagine users switching off
all ads they now see on the web. Pop-ups were the early victim and spam is likely to follow, but now there are
browser plugins that remove pages from Google search results, or (gasp!) in the near future, the very context-sensitive ads that make up the bulk of Google's (and many bloggers') revenue.
