A rare and useful data point: "For a typical news site, about 0.5% of all visitors print out news reports." (Find more stats like this on AdLab)

  1. Interesting - but I wonder if the percentage differs according to the type of article involved.
I'd pretty rarely print out a current affairs / breaking news report, just because the fast-changing nature of the content, but an essay or long article is a different story. Literally.
Actually, i pretty frequently print out longer things, from www.nytimes.com or similar, because I find it much easier to mull over and absorb more complex ideas from a piece of paper, rather than a screen.
    Anyone else?

  2. I print out articles all the time to share and discuss within our office... better than looking over each other's shoulders and reading the screen!
