Burger Ad Offends Mexico

First, Americans got upset over this creative that ran in Mexico. Now, it's Mexico's turn to file a protest against an ad:  "Mexico's ambassador to Spain said Monday he has written a letter to Burger King's offices in that nation objecting to the ad (video) and asking that it be removed." The ad for BK's Texican whopper features a short wrestler dressed in a cape resembling a Mexican flag who teams up with an American cowboy twice his height.

    Have you seen any direct indication of what offended Mexico most? To be fair, there is a strong tradition of little people in Mexican "lucha libre," far more than any other country.

    For sure, is the most common, but as a "Mexican" we don´t like to be imagined like that... because like me, many of Mexicans, are not small, dark skin, or "lucha libre" fans or wrestlers.

    Thats why... is not fair, in my Mexican opinion.

    It's simple.....t seems that mexicans are offended because if you show the american guy bigger as the mexican people in Mexico can uderstand this as they are showing mexicans as inferior persons if you compared directly with the tall american guy..... Mexicans don't want to feel as america's backyard
