A little piece of ingenuity -- one of the login names offered by BugMeNot to bypass NYTimes' registration wall was www.recipe8.com, which is a URL of a recipe directory.
I did think I was being clever. Thanks for the mention. recipe8.com is my little project. I think it works pretty well, but I don't know how to promote it effectively. I hate spam as much as everyone else. What I need is a history of the early days for other successful sites. I created recipe8 because I had seen some articles and blogs mention some google hacking recipe sites. These sites were praised for your ability to search for recipes based on what is in your refrigerator. Well all those sites are gone now... Maybe that should be a hint to me. I found your blog mention because of Technorati. I'll read some of your archive to see if I can get any good ideas. Do you have any suggestions for what I should read here and at other blogs? I need an education.
