Remember how in March
Dr. Pepper promised everyone in the States a can of Dr. Pepper if Guns'n'Roses released its "Chinese Democracy" album in 2008? Well, guess what, the album is
coming out on Thursday, and now it's time to pay up. To its credit, Dr. Pepper is
doing just that.
And Dr Pepper won't just benefit from the publicity and positive perception, but if the coupon requires an email address, for example, that's a lot of addresses!
ReplyDeletethe brand did a horrible job of anticipating the high consumer response, and an 18 hour extension didn't help much.

Awesome. Just the fact that they were silly enough to make the promise makes me like the brand more. Maybe they're not as lame as their ads.
