Interesting perspective, but I feel that this might be more of an instance where technology is structuring the form of the interaction. It's both unfortunate and architecturally beautiful that all forms of digital marketing interaction have come down to the interchange of structured messages over HTTP protocol. I would argue that as marketers in the digital age we must embrace the tools we are given while simultaneously channeling the passion to expand our toolkit.
